Lesson Overview There are research projects taht indicate that cruf veg are helpful in the prevcention of cancer. this lesson explores some of the most recent findings in this area.

Goals and Objectives

Students will... 1. Explain what a cruciferous veggie is 2. Indicate what types of cancer might be involved with eating diets high in vegetables. 3. Indicate benefits of eating a diet high

Assumptions of Prior Knowledge

Students should have a basic understanding of: 1. Food connection and cancer 2. Cultural patterns that might affect diet. 3. Some foods inhibit enzyme action 4. Mechanism for broccoli and connection to prostrate cancer. Common Misconceptions
