    Purpose:
  • 1. The students will be able to discuss the link between smoking and cancer.
  • 2. The students will research the laws across the nation and worldwide about smoking.
  • 3. The students will debate the ethical ramifications of the laws researched.
  • 4. The students will discuss expanding the laws and the ethical ramifications of those expansions.

General Procedure: 1. Students will use the WIKI format to meet the overall purposes of the unit. 2. Students will also create an ad to distribute to Elementary School students, Middle School students, High School students, College age students or adults that helps inform that particular group on the hazards of smoking. 3. Students will write a letter to their congress person in support of the law(s) or suggesting changes to the laws on smoking.
